Balancing and The Masked Peppermint Posse
It has been a very intense few weeks trying to juggle meltdowns and transisitions in many areas of my life. When I read the Inspiration Avenue theme, "Believe" I thought about believing you can accomplish something even when it seems almost impossible. The first illustration is all about the balancing act that is everyday life. There is some magic that helps keep it together even when it seems like it should come crashing down. Of course a few things do get lost or damaged or fall off the balancing tower but it is still amazing what we are able to do. I definitely believe in that magic.
The second illustration is of The Masked Peppermint Posse. They are on there way to an enchanted ball. At least, I believe they are. ;)

I definitely can relate to the balancing act of living every day. I love the illustration and the reminder that it does seem like magic that we can get done as much as we do in 24 hours.
It's impossible not to repeat myself every time I visit your blog...but I guess I'm going to have to!! I just love you art! I think "the Masked Peppermint Posse" has to be my favourite of your pieces so far though!! The colours, the use of pencils, the masks, the hair, the owl!! LOVE it! :)

Wow, beautiful... yes life is one big balancing act and most of us wear a mask that says... I'm ok, I'm coping. Thank goodness for magic..:)

Peppermint Posse is its' own delicious mysterious world...I think you might find it fun and curious to dive in it deeper...I see a tip of a rich colored whimsical iceberg, a motif path that could lead you wondrous places...definitely a lovely print design for clothing...and, perhaps, a tale is to be told of this magical ball adventure...
