Alice in Wonderland Shadow Boxes
I am participating, along with some of my artist friends, in a magical group show,
Through the Looking Glass, at
Leanna Lin's Wonderland in Los Angeles. The show opens tomorrow night, November 16, 6-10pm. Come join us for an evening of quirky delights and tasty treats. The show includes a collection of cute Alice in Wonderland themed miniatures that can be hung on a wall or a christmas tree and given as a unique hand-made gift. The show runs through Dec 24th but it is cash-and-carry so there will be a diminishing supply of cuteness as the time goes on.
I made three small shadowboxes which will be on display as well as a selection of archival art prints. The shadowboxes are all done in watercolor and ink with some digital details. I, then, carefully cut out each element and constructed these boxes by hand adding hand-drawn details to the final piece. I like to think of these as tiny windows into the world of wonderland, one of my favorite places to visit.
