Savour....

Recently, my mother and I took a trip to the Moab desert in Utah. We went hiking in Arches and Canyonlands every day. This illustration is both about savoring the memory of that amazing adventure because when you draw from your imagination you really loose yourself in the feeling of being there again. It is also about savoring the majestic and surprising beauty of nature. how each time you see something this epic and unusual, time stops and the moments extends on and on. I drew this in ink and then scanned it into the computer to paint digitally.

Wow! I'm soooo in love with this!
This should be shown in large scale. It's beautiful and mesmerizing. I can imagine your grand experience through this piece :-)

Love how you did with the balloon. I looked at the big image but still not sure what kind of medium you used.

It looks something between watercolor and digital art to me.

Again, beautiful! :-)

You've created a gorgeous depiction of a place dear to my heart. I love Moab! I live kind of far from it now, but it used to be a favorite weekend getaway. If you go back, find Corona Arch and Cable Arch. You can climb up both, which is pretty amazing!

This is really beautiful. I love the intricacies of the arches. And then adding the balloon...suddenly it's not so realistic, but some kind of fantastic world I'd really like to visit....
